4th of July Celebration
Join us for a 4th of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4th at Penny Park in Silver Springs from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The event is open to the public and everything is free, BUT Registration is required. Just Scan the QR code to register. The event includes a free BBQ, popcorn, snow cones, games and more.
Inductive Bible Study Class
When it comes to the Word of God, inductive Bible study is the best way to study. We want to interpret and understand the Scripture based on the evidence presented to us, instead of our preconceived notions of what we want or assume the text says.
The inductive Bible study method helps us achieve our goal of understanding Scripture and making application for our lives. It does this by treating the Bible as it should. We first observe what the text says before we interpret and apply it. This means we treat it with respect, as the Word of God, and don’t move quickly or haphazardly.
One Step To Freedom
One Step To Freedom is a Christian-based program. The Holy Bible is the true syllabus for these lessons. The OSTF curriculum examines the Scriptures and illuminates biblical principles designed to help a person gain victory over addiction leading to their restoration and wholeness. As a person begins to study God’s Word, he or she begins to understand their need for a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Once that takes place, restoration soon follows. These lessons are intended for use in an addiction recovery ministry and can be used one-on-one with individuals or in a group setting. This curriculum can be acceptable to a court of law for those on probation for a drug or alcohol-related offense. The One Step To Freedom curriculum is a tool that God uses to bring victory. It only takes one step to Jesus to set you free. We meet Friday 7:00 PM at the Silver Springs Community Center Located at 2945 Fort Churchill Street in Silver Springs.
Join us for our candlelight service on Wednesday, December 24th @ 7:00 PM. Please note, service will be held in a private home located at 1035 East 5th Street, Silver Springs. Fellowship and dessert to follow.
Men’s Bible Study – Friday Night @ 7pm at the Silver Springs Community Center. Currently the men are working through the book study, Spiritual Leadership, by Oswald Sanders. This book is FREE in our Resource Library.
Women’s Bible Study – Friday Night @ 7pm at the Silver Springs Community Center. Currently the women are doing a book study, The Last Hour, by Amir Tsarfati.
Good News Club – Will begin on October 3rd and continue every Friday after school, 3:45-4:45PM, at SilverStage Elementary School in the Fish Bowl. All children are welcome to attend GNC, but children must have a completed Registration Form in order to attend. Download a Registration Form here. GNC is a free Bible Club where children will learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, play games and meet new friends. A snack will be provided for students. Prizes for learning memory verses will be awarded. All volunteers undergo background screening in order to serve in GNC.
OUTDOOR EXCURSIONS – Radio Control Airplane Camp
Middle-School and High School students are invited to join us for this free one-day rc plane camp in Gardnerville. Transportation will be provided from the Silver Springs Community Center. This event is free on a first come basis. Once registration is completed by scanning the QR code, a registration packet will be emailed to you.
Calvary Chapel Father/Son Camp Out
Join us for our 5th Annual Father/Son Camp Out at Petra Springs Christian Camp. Enjoy a weekend of fellowship, father/son devotions, worship, air rifles, archer, canoeing, time around the camp fire and more. For more information see the Registration Packet.
